Legal update: BNS, BNSS and BSA
Tenant verification is a police/citizen service and may also be affected by directions or orders issued by a District Magistrate, police authority or other competent local authority. This page does not state that BNS, BNSS or BSA itself creates a single nationwide standalone rule requiring every landlord in India to complete police verification of every tenant. Owners should comply with any current local order or legally binding direction applicable to their area.
