Latest law for marriage registration in Himachal Pradesh
Under section 7, the memorandum of marriage is ordinarily required to be delivered or sent to the Registrar of Marriages within 30 days from the date of marriage. Section 8 provides for registration after that period, subject to the applicable fee and additional requirements.
The Act also makes clear that non-registration by itself does not invalidate a marriage, and its provisions operate in addition to other marriage laws such as the Special Marriage Act, 1954, the Christian marriage law, the Parsi Marriage and Divorce Act, 1936 and the Foreign Marriage Act, 1969.

Marriage registration after 30 days
The state Act specifically provides for a memorandum submitted after the ordinary 30-day period.
