SBI Delhi IFSC Code G: State Bank of India Branches

Find IFSC codes, MICR details and addresses for State Bank of India branches in Delhi and New Delhi whose branch names begin with the letter G.

IFSC means Indian Financial System Code. It identifies a bank branch for electronic fund transfers. RBI guidance requires the beneficiary branch IFSC for routing NEFT transactions correctly, and IFSC is also used for RTGS transfers.

Important: Bank branch details can change. Before transferring money, verify the IFSC and beneficiary branch details with the account holder and the official SBI Branch Locator. Do not rely on an old cheque, saved beneficiary or third-party directory when the branch has been merged, relocated or renamed.

How to verify an SBI IFSC code

Open the official SBI Branch Locator and search for the branch. Match the branch name, address and IFSC with the beneficiary's banking details before sending funds. RBI guidance also states that where both the IFSC and branch details are provided, they should match before a NEFT transaction is originated.

What is a MICR code?

MICR means Magnetic Ink Character Recognition. MICR information has traditionally been used in cheque clearing and electronic clearing processes. Some entries in the existing directory are marked "NON-MICR"; users should verify current branch information directly with SBI when MICR information is required.

IFSC safety checklist

Confirm the beneficiary name and account number, verify the branch IFSC through SBI, and recheck the details before authorising a transfer. A correct IFSC helps route an electronic payment to the intended bank branch, but it does not replace verification of the beneficiary account details.

Directory note: The branch, IFSC and MICR entries above are presented from the existing page data. The official SBI Branch Locator should be treated as the verification source for current SBI branch information.
