An eChallan is an electronically generated traffic enforcement notice. Depending on the issuing authority and portal integration, a challan can be searched using a registration number, challan number or driving licence number.

- Open the outstanding challan details on the official portal and confirm the amount and vehicle number.
- Choose Pay Challan or the corresponding payment action, where available.
- Complete the payment through the secure payment gateway using the offered method.
- Wait for the transaction confirmation; avoid refreshing or paying twice while processing.
- Download or save the payment receipt and transaction reference. Recheck the challan status after payment.
If a challan is referred to a court or is not eligible for online payment, follow the instructions issued by the competent authority. Online payment is not available for every type of case.

Fine amounts should be confirmed against the current challan, statutory provision and applicable Andhra Pradesh notification. A generic online fine table may not reflect the legally payable amount in a particular case.
Wrong challan, failed payment or duplicate transaction

Do not automatically pay a challan that appears to relate to a different vehicle. Preserve the challan number, vehicle registration certificate, relevant photographs and any evidence showing that the vehicle was elsewhere. Use the portal's Raise Grievance facility if offered for the challan, or contact the issuing traffic police authority. For suspected number plate cloning or fraud, report the matter to police.

Payment deducted but challan still unpaid
Check the portal's Check Pending Transaction or payment verification service, where available. Keep the bank transaction ID, challan number, payment date and receipt. Contact the eChallan helpdesk or issuing department if the status does not update; avoid repeated payment until the transaction is verified.
