Under instructions from and on behalf of my client Mr._____________, R/o _____________ _____________, I do hereby serve you with the following legal notice:-

1. That my client is the a Doctor Practicing at ______________, and was a Government Doctor for the period from ___________ to _____ and held various posts in Government Heal care department. He is a well known doctor highly respected in all spheres of life.

2. That my client is doing social services relentlessly for last several decades and has impeccable image in the eyes of public.

3. That my client come to notice that you have published an article about him in the news paper _________________ on ______________ alleging that my client is involved in selling duplicate medicines. You noticee deliberately and recklessly made false and defamatory allegations against my client with the intention and knowledge of harming my client's reputation with the knowledge that same are false and lowering his image in the eyes of the public.

4. The wild and concocted allegations made by you noticee are completely concocted, defamatory, scandalous and un-parliamentary and have maligned the image of my client.

That the aforesaid defamatory, scandalous, false and reckless statements and news items have been widely published circulated and read by public at large and have lowered the dignity of my client in the eyes of the public. Such scandalous, fabricated, defamatory and reckless allegations have been made by you with ulterior motives and wrongful intent to malign and tarnish the image of my client.

7. That my client is demanding special damages on account of mental torture, agony, financial loss, and injury inflicted to his reputation, honor due to the statement which you have published in the news paper as mentioned as under:

General Damages
Injury/ loss to reputation as a person: Rs. 1,00,00,000/-

Mental torture and agony: Rs. 50,00,000/-

Loss in family honour: Rs. 15,00,000/-

Legal assistance & General charges : Rs. 75,000/-

GRAND TOTAL : 1,65,75,000/- (as general and special compensation)

That through the instant legal notice for defamation, you are hereby advised to pay the above-said amount to my client within 14 days after the issuance of instant legal notice, failing which my client will be constrained to take appropriate legal action against you including prosecuting you for criminal defamation at your risk, cost and consequences.

Copy of this notice has been retained in my office for further appropriate action.
