AOR Certificate for Special Leave Petition (SLP)

Updated specimen certificate for an Advocate-on-Record filing a Special Leave Petition under Article 136 of the Constitution of India, read with Order XXI Rule 3 of the Supreme Court Rules, 2013, as amended.

An Advocate-on-Record certificate accompanying an SLP confirms, in substance, that the petition is confined to the record and pleadings before the court or tribunal whose order is challenged and that the annexures relied upon are relevant to the questions of law or grounds raised before the Supreme Court.

Current rule position: Special Leave Petitions under Article 136 are governed by Order XXI of the Supreme Court Rules, 2013. The Supreme Court's official Rules page should always be checked for the Rules and later amendments before filing.
